In December 2004, the 8th Annual Ruchi Prativa Sanman Assembly brought together visionary authors, rural educators, and youth scholars under one roof. The ceremony marked the first joint presentation of the Literature & Grassroots Education honors.
Organised at the historic Saheed Bhawan auditorium in Cuttack, the 2004 assembly was presided over by eminent scholars and civic leaders. Dr. Pratibha Ray was presented with the flagship Sanman for her seminal contribution to Odia prose, alongside Smt. Tulasi Munda who was honored for founding tribal schools in Keonjhar. The convocation also witnessed the unveiling of Amaruchi Vol. VIII, containing historic essays on Odia literary heritage.
